Abstract Submission Information

The 7th Nano Ontario Conference will bring together over 150 nanoscience and nanotechnology researchers from across Ontario and abroad from the academic, industrial and government sectors. This is an opportunity to present your work and to learn about leading edge developments, including industrial applications and economic impact. With 4 keynote speakers, 9 invited speakers, over 90 posters, an industry-academia panel, and an evening reception and networking session, this conference will bring together the best in nano R&D in Ontario.

We are accepting abstract submissions for poster presentations at the 7th Nano Ontario Conference. Academic and industrial researchers are eligible to submit an abstract to present a poster at the conference.

Posters may be focused on academic research, industrial research, or industry-academia collaborations, and must include results (data and outcomes). The poster size should be no larger than 4’ x 4’. The poster sessions and judging will be organized during high traffic times.

How to Submit an Abstract

Prepare your poster presentation abstract using the template file found here. It should include the title, list of authors and affiliations, and the text of the abstract, which must be less than 250 words.

Prepare your short bio that describes your educational and professional background. It must be less than 100 words, submitted in a paragraph format, and should not be in a list or curriculum vitae format.

Submit your poster presentation abstract and short bio to nano2016@uoguelph.ca by the deadline of Friday, September 30, 2016.

Commitment to Attend Conference

Submitting an abstract represents a commitment to attend the 2016 Nano Ontario Conference, regardless of the acceptance of your abstract. The opportunity to submit an abstract is available only to those who plan to attend the conference for educational and networking purposes, and not to those who wish to attend exclusively for the opportunity to present. Therefore, all persons submitting an abstract must register and submit payment to attend the conference.

Abstract Review

Applicants will be notified by email whether their abstract was accepted.
